What We Offer...
We teach
Krav-Magen-Gracie, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Martial Arts to adults and children. You can take great group classes or
get individual attention from the instructor with
private lessons.
What
is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
?
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
contains standup techniques for winning
a fight, but it is famous for its
devastating ground fighting techniques.
BJJ was developed to allow a smaller
person to defeat a larger person by
applying leverage and technique. The
idea is to gain superior positioning on
your opponent and then to apply numerous
chokes, holds, locks and joint
manipulations.
About Our Instructors...
Our
instructors come from all walks of life, have
extensive teaching experience and are some of the
best in the
Germantown, Rockville area. All are
certified black belts that care more about improving
their students skills than their own ego!
Program Director:
Jeff Gordon
Jeff Gordon is a 4th Degree
Black Belt in Ryukyu Kempo Karate and a Black Belt
in American Karate. Jeff also currently holds a
Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Jeff Gordon is
a Certified Instructor of Krav Maga™.
Jeff is a personal student of
Royce Gracie, the three time UFC Champion. Jeff has
won numerous tournaments in kata & sport fighting.
He has both taught and trained Ryukyu Kempo Karate
in Okinawa & Tokyo-Japan and
Eastern Europe.
Jeff has also trained Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Brazil.

Jitsu:
Chad "HAWAII" Satterfield
Born in Honolulu, Hawaii,
Chad
started learning martial arts in his early childhood. Mastering the
art of Goshinjutsu (self-defense) with a black belt. He has also
studied in Karate, Muay Thai Kickboxing, Boxing, and Jiu-Jitsu.
Chad
is a personal student of Royce Gracie and currently holds a 1 Stripe
Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu..
He has been teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Goshinjutsu to Special
Forces in the USA since 2001, and was the Head Instructor of the
Gracie Academy
in Tokyo,
Japan.

Maga Instructor: Otis Berry- BLACK BELT INSTRUCTOR
1 OF ONLY
25 BLACK BELTS IN KRAV MAGA IN THE UNITED STATES
Otis Berry brings an impressive military and self defense background
to Gordon's Self-Defense
Academy. He served for six
years in the Third Special Forces Group of the United States Army,
where he made over 400 static line parachute jumps and over 200 HALO
(high-altitude-low-opening) jumps. He is a graduate of the
Army
Airborne
School
at Fort Benning, Georgia,
and the Army
Sniper
School
at Fort Lewis, Washington.
Otis acquired Akido expertise
while in the Special Forces and subsequently attained a black belt
in Chung Do Kwan. He also has extensive experience in Muay Thai
Kickboxing and Chi Na. Otis grew up in Springfield, Virginia, where
he was state champion in the 400 meter and 800 meter track & field
events.
Otis is one of only 25
Instructors in the United States with a Black Belt in Krav
Maga. He also holds Phase A, B and C Krav Maga Instructor
Certifications, as well as the advanced Expert Series III and Expert
Series 4 Certifications. Otis has also achieved certification in
Civilian Law Enforcement from Krav Maga Worldwide’s Force Training
Division, qualifying him to lead special programs for law
enforcement and security personnel.
We are the
only Certified Krav Maga school in Montgomery. We offer a special
environment. Which consist of a hard cardio work out with street
proven Self-Defense. Krav Maga and Gracie Jiu-Jistu are one the most
proven self- defense system in the world. Used by the US ARMY, FBI
& DEA and other law enforcement agency.
