Goodbye, unhealthy
weight. Hello, West Point!
Here's how he did it:
- He drank plenty of water each day
- all day. Minimum 3 liters.
- He ate six meals per day. Balanced
nutritious meals.
- He minimized simple sugars. Based
on his goals, I recommended no fruit
after noon and no starches after
3:00pm.
- He ate a protein-rich diet. He
consumed approximately his lean body
weight in grams of protein every
day.
- He drank a carbohydrate-protein
post-workout shake within an hour
after every workout.
- He drank a meal replacement shake
as a morning snack between breakfast
and lunch.
- He drank a low-carb protein shake
before bed.
- He did weight training that was
progressive and did not allow for
plateaus.
- He did cardio 5 - 6 days per week
outside of his resistance workouts.
- He rested to build muscle and
avoid overtraining. Muscles are not
made in the gym but in rest and
recovery.
- He listened to his trainer. :)
All of this
helped him to lose 50 pounds in
about 4 months! |
