"This past July I underwent
abdominal surgery to repair an
umbilical hernia. Following the
surgery I decided it was time to
take steps to improve my health and
overall physical condition. Over the
past 20 years I had gradually put on
weight and adopted a sedentary
lifestyle like many of us do.
Following the surgery, I weighed 242
lbs and had lost much of my strength
and endurance. That’s where Jeff
came in.
Jeff’s program consisted of setting
both short and long term goals,
reengineering my eating habits and
diet complimented by resistance
training in my home 2 – 3 times a
week. Prior to signing up with Jeff,
I often went without eating
breakfast or lunch and had large
meals in the evening. On Jeff’s
recommendation, I adopted a practice
of eating 4 – 5 small meals a day
while avoiding those foods that were
high in fat and calories. Within 2
weeks the weight started to drop
significantly – this was before any
real physical activities had begun !
Adhering to the eating regimen was
difficult at first but when I (and
others) saw the results it was clear
that Jeff had me on the right track!
Shortly after making the dietary
changes I began the physical part of
the program. Jeff worked very hard
to ensure that the exercises helped
build muscle and stamina while not
stressing my abdominal area which
was still recovering from the
surgery. Again, the results were
immediate – friends, family and
coworkers commented regularly on the
improvement in my appearance.
It is now January and I have lost 35
lbs, lost 6 inches in the waist area
and feel the strongest I have in
many years. I still have 15 lbs to
go but I am confident that following
Jeff’s program I will reach my goal
shortly.

started working with Jeff October of
2009. My body fat by skin fold
measurements was 17.4%, by mid
December it was 15%. Most remarkably
lower back and waist went from 38%
to 33%. My body has changed shape so
that at the same weight of 148,
pounds, 66 inches, my waist is
smaller by 1.5 inches, chest larger
by 2 inches, arms now have
definition, stomach is flatter and

"At 49 years
of age, I have always thought of myself as a fairly health
conscious individual. I contacted and hired Jeff as a gift
to my 50 year old husband, who had been steadily, over the
course of 20 years, gaining weight and reducing activity.
But when Jeff arrived and began to explain his regimen of
exercise and diet, I was intrigued. I was about 10-15 pounds
overweight, and though I was fairly active, I realized that
that did not translate into “Healthy”. My cholesterol ran
around 235-240, and although I ate lots of “good for you”
foods, I was often hungry, and dieting was difficult. I
hired Jeff as a gift for me too.
After working with Jeff for 6 weeks, using a diet plan
developed specifically for me and my body type, I found that
I was steadily losing weight- not a lot at a time, but
consistent weight loss. The very best thing about it was
that I was eating frequently, 5-6 times per day, and I was
NEVER hungry. Nor did I go without things that I love to
eat. The diet he established for me provided the nutrients I
needed to both feel satisfied and begin to develop muscle.
And amazingly, my cholesterol was lower than it has been in
my recorded history- 186 with high HDL, low LDL.
Jeff also worked with me on muscle development. Though I
have lots of cardiovascular endurance, his workouts revealed
just how completely out of shape my core muscles were. I
recommend working with Jeff at least two times per week to
ensure that you get the full benefit of using a personal
trainer- it is NOT the same if you do it alone!!
Jeff has been able to teach us both so much about diet and
exercise- he has incorporated these activities into a
lifestyle for us, and he is our best cheerleader. That is

How often should
we meet with
a personal trainer?
This still depends upon your goals, how quickly you want to
achieve them, your schedule and time available to exercise,
and your budget... but when considering the cost, be sure to
remember that this is your health and there is nothing on
earth that is more important... because without it you have
nothing.
On average, most clients do best when they meet with a
personal trainer 3 - 4 times per week... less than that many
people will slack off and not get nearly as much out of it.
Here are a few things to keep in mind when determining how
often you'll meet with your trainer...
How fast do you want to achieve your goal and see results?
The more frequently you meet with your trainer the faster
you'll see results and achieve your goals and there are
several reasons for this... consistency, accountability,
motivation, guidance, you'll work much harder with your
trainer than on your own, etc.
Why is personal training so
expensive?
Very common question. First of
all, its interesting what all of us spend our money on. we
invite you to take a look at your budget and we guarantee you
will find something that is either frivolous or wasteful. Such
being the case, why would you skimp on your own health &
well-being? Doctors, Dentists, Accountants, Attorneys,
Financial Advisors, etc. are all very expensive but when it
makes sense to use them it saves us time, money, and we pay
them for their expertise. Personal Training is exactly in
the same category and without one's health you have nothing.

How much experience with exercise do you have and how much
do you really know?
While many people have exercised before, many for years... but
do you really know it all? It's not likely... we spend years
and years studying and learning to know what we know and our
